Hilbert College Athletics

Kelsi Ebert was on fire last week and her hot-hand helped the junior guard to earn her third Hawk of the Week honor this season.   Ebert has now collected five such honors over the course of her two and a half seasons with the basketball team.

Ebert scored a total of 60 points leading Hilbert to a pair of wins last week.  She strung together back-to-back 30-point performances while playing within the team’s offensive framework.  Hilbert earned an overtime victory at Nazareth College (67-65) Wednesday night and then posted a lop-sided AMCC win over Pitt-Greensburg (78-49). The Frontier grad shot 58.3% from the field (21-36, 3-5 3-point) and 71.4% (15-21) from the foul line.  She also averaged 8 rebounds and 4.5 steals.

The 5-7 shooting guard recorded her first career double-double pairing 30 points with 10 rebounds and was three steals shy of a triple-double (44 minutes) in the Empire 8 victory in Rochester.  Three days later, Ebert still was ‘feeling it’ when she notched another 30-point game in only 34 minutes. 

Ebert is currently ranked 8th in scoring in the AMCC with 15.6 points per game while leading the 4-3 Hawks (7-6 overall) to a 4th place ranking in the league.
