Nehemiah Kornegay’s scoring punch last week helped lift the men’s basketball to a pair of AMCC victories.

The senior guard/forward averaged 18 points and seven rebounds in 17-minutes per game off the bench.  The Hawks (12-3) secured their 2nd place standing with road wins over Bradford and La Roche.

Kornegay tossed in eight points shooting 100% from the floor and pulled down five defensive rebounds in the 76-68 victory over Bradford. 

The 6’4 swingman then kicked the Hawks’ offense into high-gear as they rallied from an 11-point deficit to a 91-77 win.  The Queens, NY native went 8-for-12 from the floor and 12-for-14 at the foul line to collect a career-high 28 points.  He also finished with nine rebounds and a pair of steals.
