Freshman Amanda Binder earned her first Hilbert honor after an impressive performance this week. The rookie from Freemont, OH helped guide the Hawks to a perfect 3-0 week after averaging 2.73 kills per set and a notable .426 attack percentage in 11 sets. The middle hitter had a huge block in the final set against Penn State Altoona which led the Hilbert’s important 3-2 victory. Binder also earned a game-high 16 kills which helped the Hawks retain second place in the AMCC standings. For the week, Binder finished with 30 kills, four service aces, 14 digs, two solo blocks and three assisted blocks, earning 3.41 points per game.
