Senior Wyann Jackson came through in the clutch for the women’s basketball team last week and earned her first career Hawk of the Week honor.

Jackson provided 10 important points and three offensive rebounds while lifting the Hawks with tough perimeter defense in their 63-52 road win at Franciscan University over the weekend.

The Atlanta, GA native canned back-to-back 3-pointers during a high-scoring third quarter.  Her second long-ball gave Hilbert their largest lead the in game (52-27) and that 25-point spread was the difference as the Barons stormed back in the final quarter before falling in defeat.

Jackson accepted her new role on the team and provides solid minutes her senior campaign.  Even more so, she has transitioned from a post player to a wing player within the last two weeks and has helped the Hawks to a 2-1 AMCC record.
