Hilbert College Athletics

Morgan Ott filled the stat-sheet last week and her all around play earned the sophomore setter her very first Hawk of the Week honor.

Women’s volleyball went 1-3 as Ott helped lift Hilbert to their first victory of the season and kept the Hawks hanging around in their three other matches.  She led with 6.00 assists per set and was second on the team with 1.83 kills and 2.50 digs per set.  She knocked down 10 service aces and added three block assists.

The Milan, OH native collected 12 kills, 27 assists and four aces in the four-set loss to D’Youville before she quarterbacked the Hawks in their best home performance of the season.  Hilbert slipped in three sets to Houghton, but made the 16-8 Highlanders work for their victory.

In AMCC pool play on Saturday, Ott appeared in one set in the La Roche match and finished with a pair of kills and assists in addition to four digs.  She regrouped and rallied the Hawks to a 4-set win over Pitt-Greensburg.  Ott gave Hilbert a complete game with 17 digs and 27 assists (six kills) and five aces.
