Hilbert College Athletics

Anthony Wurstner earned his first Hawk of the Week honor this season.  The sophomore centerfielder appeared in three of the four games this weekend, but gave the Hawks a huge lift in the 2^nd inning against D’Youville College.  After the Hawks loaded the bases with three consecutive bunts, Wurstner took the opposite approach and blasted his hit over the left field fence for his first collegiate grand slam.  This marked the second time in as many seasons, though, that Wurstner picked the Spartans’ pitcher for a home run.  The West Seneca native finished the 21-1 victory with seven RBI’s going 3 for 4.
