Outside Hitter Brett Kane earned his first Hawk of the Week honor after stringing together four strong performances for the volleyball team last week. The rookie led Hilbert with a .238 attack percentage while earning 28 kills in 63 attempts. The Grand Island native led the Hawks with 12 digs and was also credited with three service aces and four total blocks in 12 sets. Kane led Hilbert with 12.5 points against No. 9 New York University. The southpaw  was the only Hawk to hit double figure kills (11) and had only four hitting errors. He added three digs and three block assists in the 25-23, 25-21, 25-23 loss.
