Hilbert College Athletics

Sophomore Adam Heftka returned to the quarterback position and guided his Hawks through the first two NEAC games of the season.   Heftka averaged 7.4 assists per set and 2.67 digs per set while picking up two solo blocks, two service aces and six kills in nine sets played. 

The Grand Island native was active at the net and on defense in Hilbert’s five-set loss to SUNY Poly.  He assisted on 42 of his team mate’s kills, and added a team-high 15 digs while knocking down three kills of his own.  One day earlier, he was credited with two solo blocks and 25 assists, nine digs, three kills in a rematch against Wells which ended in a four-set defeat.

The Hawks played their first back-to-back match going at least four sets.
